Burbujito - Frequently Asked Questions

Products
Is the CO2 cylinder included with the purchase of Burbujito?
CO2 cylinders are not included with the standard Burbujito.
 However, the Starter Pack includes:
1 Burbujito machine
• 4 CO₂ cylinders
• 2 x 1L PET bottles
What type of CO2 cylinders are compatible with Burbujito?
Burbujito is compatible with any standard screw in cylinder of 400–425 g / 60 L designed for home carbonation systems.

For refills or new cylinders, Congas offers a supply service here
Does Burbujito need to be plugged in to work?
No, Burbujito is completely manual and wireless. It does not require electricity to operate.
The gas is coming out with low pressure, what can I do?
The most common reason is that the CO₂ cylinder is running low.
As the cylinder nears empty, typically when less than about 20% remains, gas pressure and flow may become weaker. You may notice reduced carbonation or the need for more presses.

In this case, we recommend that you:
• replace the cylinder with a full one
• reorder refill cylinders in time
• avoid waiting until the cylinder is completely empty

Check correct installation

If the issue occurs immediately after installing a cylinder, it may not be installed firmly enough.
The cylinder should be screwed in straight and securely, but not overtightened.
If the connection is too loose, gas flow may be reduced or inconsistent.

Recommendation:
• remove the cylinder
• reinstall it carefully
• ensure it sits correctly and firmly in position

Check cylinder weight

A simple way to estimate the cylinder level is by weight:
• Full cylinder: approx. 1,200–1,250 g
• Empty cylinder: approx. 750–800 g

These values may vary slightly depending on cylinder specification.
If the cylinder feels light, it is likely near empty and should be replaced.

Important note on very cold water:
For best carbonation, use cold water.

However, avoid water that is close to freezing, around 0–2°C.

When CO₂ is released, it cools rapidly. If the water is extremely cold, this can cause temporary ice formation at the nozzle or inside the system.

This may result in:
• reduced gas flow
• weaker carbonation
• temporary blockage

If this occurs, allow the Burbujito to return to room temperature for a few minutes before continuing.
I see water coming out of Burbujito, what does that mean?
This is usually caused by overfilling the bottle, or by applying too much pressure.
Always fill the bottle only up to the marked fill line.

Important note on pressure and moisture:
If the bottle is overfilled, or if excessive pressure is applied:
• water can enter the internal system
• small amounts of water may be pushed out during use

Over time, this can:
• affect performance
• contribute to internal wear
• expose surrounding surfaces to moisture

Please take extra care when using Burbujito on surfaces that are sensitive to moisture, such as wood, natural stone, or other untreated materials.

Best practice
• fill exactly to the line
• use controlled, moderate presses
• keep the machine upright during use

Use with water only
When should I replace the cylinder?

Replace or refill the cylinder as soon as performance starts to drop, rather than waiting until it is completely empty.

This helps maintain a consistent carbonation result.

Can I increase the gas level of my water?
Yes. You can press the button multiple times to increase carbonation.

Recommendation:
• 2 to 3 presses for balanced carbonation
• more presses for stronger carbonation

Allow a short pause between presses.

For optimal carbonation, use cold water from the refrigerator (approx. 4–8 °C).
How do I achieve the best taste?

The quality of your sparkling water depends directly on the quality of the water you use.

Water taste can vary depending on:
• location
• season
• local supply conditions, for example when reservoir levels are low

What water should I use?

If your tap water is of excellent quality, it is often the best and most sustainable option.

Many users also prefer:
• filtered water
• water from refillable tanks or water delivery systems
• reverse osmosis systems, whether built in or separate

These options can help improve:
• taste
• odor
• consistency

Our recommendation
• use clean, fresh water with a pleasant, neutral taste
• choose the source that works best in your home and area
• always carbonate water at a cold temperature, ideally around 4–8°C
Can I carbonate drinks other than water?

Burbujito is designed to carbonate water only.

Do not carbonate:
• flavored water
• juices
• syrups
• wine or other beverages
• water with additives such as sugar, salts, or powders

Why is this important?

Carbonating anything other than clean water can cause:
• foaming and overflow
• liquid entering the machine
• residue buildup inside the system
• hygiene and cleaning issues

Over time, this may:
• affect performance
• cause unwanted taste or odor
• damage the Burbujito

Best practice:

Always carbonate clean, cold water only.

Add flavors after carbonation, for example:
• in the glass
• in a separate carafe
• in the bottle only after carbonation, if suitable for the drink being prepared

This helps keep the machine clean and supports long product life.

Can I use a bottle from another brand?
We do not recommend this.

Burbujito bottles are specifically designed to:
• withstand pressure safely
• support optimal carbonation
• fit correctly in the system
PET Bottles
What is the capacity of the PET bottle?
The carbonation capacity is marked by the line with a total of 1 liter (1,000 ml).
The total capacity is approximately 1.3 liters.
Why does the PET bottle have an expiration date?

This is an important safety requirement.

Over time, materials can weaken under pressure.

Never use the bottle after the indicated expiration date.

Is the PET bottle recyclable?
Yes. Separate the components and recycle them according to local regulations.
Is PET plastic safe for drinking?
Yes. The bottles are BPA-free and compliant with LFGB, FDA, DGCCRF, and REACH standards.
Can I wash the bottle in the dishwasher?

No. The bottle is designed for temperatures up to 40°C.

Always wash by hand.

How to wash the bottle correctly?
use warm water and mild detergent
• rinse thoroughly
• store with the cap open to allow drying
